Are You Stuck in a Rut?
For many creative professionals, particularly those who have taken on extra work during the downturn, an established routine can do wonders for maintaining on-the-job productivity. At the same time, sticking to the same schedule day after day and operating on autopilot, while comfortable, can lead to complacency.
It’s Not Just What You Say In Pitches…
… It’s also how you deliver the words.
Some people have a way with words. James Earl Jones made “This is CNN” sound like a declaration from God. All lines flowing from Judith Dench’s mouth reflect royalty. And John Kennedy effortlessly turned boring statements into riveting calls to arms.
Planning for 2011
Strategic planning can sound and be overwhelming and sometimes can feel like an exercise in futility as most strategic plans are never referred to again after presentation. Strategic plans can be created at varying levels of complexity, and unless you are required to create a full-blown strategic plan that includes an executive summary, situation summary and implementation plan, I suggest addressing your 2011 strategic plan in a more simplistic manner.

The other day I was reading an article from Inc. magazine about how to hire for creativity. Now this is a no-brainer for those of us in the field. Am I right Maybe. Maybe not.
