Opinion Poll: How much influence does your in-house team have on agency relationships?

[ 1 ] November 30, 2012 |

No matter how large, talented or versatile your in-house creative team is, at some point, the need arises to hire an outside agency. The success of the partnership depends on how collaborative the relationship is and how much influence your in-house team has in the process. Being handed a completed campaign that veers wildly from all brand standards your team has worked tirelessly to put in place, not only ruffles your designers’ feathers, it detracts from the value your team brings to the firm. On the flip side, when an agency acts as an extension of your team, the results can be first rate.

Take this month’s poll and let us know how much influence your team has on agency relationships.

How much influence does your in-house team have on agency relationships?

  • We are brought into agency projects eventually, often when it’s too late to properly affect the outcome. (33%, 6 Votes)
  • We are not involved in agency relationships – finished work is given to us to implement. (28%, 5 Votes)
  • We don’t have a say on who is hired, but we work closely with the agency throughout the project life cycle. (22%, 4 Votes)
  • We own the relationship, finding and hiring agencies ourselves. (17%, 3 Votes)

Total Voters: 18
